Top Dogs Speak: Truth, Wisdom & Survival Tips for Marketers

Description
Today’s economy poses even greater challenges for marketers in the A/E/C industry as we see more competition, tighter budgets and fewer projects. Changing the way we market is more important than ever, but what does that mean?  The SMPS RTP Chapter is honored to have two distinguished SMPS National Presidents and one SMPS National Board Member answer this question and more. Donna Corlew, Pete Kienle and Kevin Hebblethwaite have served and are currently serving as leaders for SMPS, traveled to various chapters across the country and presented at National SMPS conferences. Their leadership in their own companies combined with years of experience in the industry makes this group true “Top Dogs”. Join us in this lively and interactive panel discussion as our own chapter member Polly Green moderates, asking these Top Dogs the tough questions!

Make the most of this program by submitting your own question to be answered by our Top Dogs! Email to Programming Chair, Lauren Smith, at lsmith@lhpa-nc.com.

The PR Advantage: Get Published, Boost Sales and Build Reputations

Description

Winning work and staying in front of clients is the first priority for A/E/C firms. Being visible--in print, at the podium and online -- delivers a proven competitive advantage. More than ever in this extended economic recession, clients and prospects need to hear about your firm, know about your in-house experts and understand how your firm is different. Public relations, applied via traditional methods and new social media outlets, offers firm principals and marketing teams the power to differentiate and consistently reach new and current clients.

Mike Reilly FSMPS of Reilly Communications will describe how firms are seeing tangible results and measuring success from their PR campaigns. He will provide an insider's view on how PR works to increase business in professional service firms, and will discuss the essential elements, techniques and tangible results for A/E/C firms. Mike will also present a timely review of the business and marketing value of emerging social media and digital PR tools.
