Diane Ditzel, CPSM
Senior Marketing Specialist

A Baltimore native (and therefore lover of crab cakes, Old Bay, and the Ravens), Diane Ditzel joined the A/E/C industry after graduating from Villanova University the spring of 2008. After relocating to Raleigh, Diane transferred her SMPS membership to the Triangle Chapter and jumped right into committee involvement by joining the Programs Committee. Over the past year she has served as a Co-Director of the Programs Committee and has now moved into the President Elect role for the 2017-18 term.

Outside of SMPS, Diane is on the Alumni Advisory Group of Villanova University’s Department of Geography and Environment. She enjoys spending time with her fiancé and miniature dachshund as well as going to the beach, reading, and spending time with family.

Diane’s advice to marketing and business development professionals fresh to the industry is, “Attend as many meetings as you can, read as much marketing material as you can, and learn anything there is to know about your company. Getting involved in SMPS is important, too, because you can build a network of A/E/C peers and learn so much from its programs and members.”
